Yesterday we had a great time creating prototypes of water bottles to meet the specific needs of different people. What suggestions do you think you can make about the concern you commented about in our last post? Could you design or create something that could make a difference?

We could stop makeing plastic water bottles and plastic bags and make people use reuse able bottles and reuse able bags and make a team to help clean up all the garbage and maybe turn them into toys.

What material might you use to make the reusable water bottles? What might happen when the bottles get old? Great idea about reusing the materials that we think are waste for new toys.

My biggest concern with the ocean and the enviorment is that people will polute soo much that we may not have the right type of air to breath the right type of water to drink! We dont want dirty water to drink so i have a question for you: Do u want a filthy Earth or do you want ours to be nice and clean? I have a sugestion there should be a national day called Ocean Clean Up Day my other biggest concern is that people will litter so much that we wont be able to go outside to do things we love llike travel or rome the earth or even just play outside just because we want to we wont have that privlege anymore! Why do we litter anyways?!?!?!Another concern is that animals anad plants wont be able to grow and live because our air and water is so flithy and poluted

Any suggestions as to what we can do on the Ocean Clean Up Day? Will people be getting into the water to clean or will it mainly be cleaning the shoreline? How would you advertise this to people so that everyone gets on-board with your suggestion?

I'm glad that you enjoyed the prototyping. What concern do you have about water and the environment? Could you use our prototyping activity to develop a solution for your concern?

I would make something that would turn garbage into paper so we don't put garbage in water

That's a great idea! Would people still have to have a garbage pick up or would this be some sort of machine that people could have in their homes? Would you need a factory to be able to change the garbage into paper? What might happen with garbage that is harmful to the environment such as chemicals?

I would invent a garbage can that would process the poisonous chemical into eco-friendly fuel and solar power to create eco-friendly vehicles which will help the world be friendly to our animals and plants. If I failed making the garbage can, the chemicals would affect the species and other microscopic biotic organs and cause them to die and if into a habitat the habitat itself will be destroyed and affected habitat would make the animals or organs living in it sick and will eventually die. I dream to invent that type of garbage can when I become a biologist ( what I want to be when I grow up) and help the world!!!

Thanks! We used found materials from the classroom and some students brought items in from home to help us build.

Good question. We share our room with another class for French and sometimes things go missing. The sign was not meant for the prototype but for the items in the pencil case.

The prototypes are well crafted so far in Madame Lamberts class

Thank you. Any suggestions of how we could make them better? We had the chance to pitch our ideas and pivot some of them while working with Mrs. Hawkins' students today and it was amazing to have their feedback. Our prototypes were greatly improved.

Instead of info-graphics, I think we should use something like a contest to get more people, and whoever cleans up the most out from the water, wins a prize, and whoever wins, they would feel like "Wow, I did a very good deed! I wanna do more, so I can be a superhero!". It makes you feel like a superhero and wants you to do more, and soon our water might be cleaner faster!
